Have had acid reflux and heartburn and a bp of 127-144 over ~ 77. feeling pain in arms, rib cage and occasional sharp pains in mid chest. what to do?

Try antacid: Given age heart disease not likely but BP is too high. That could just be response to pain and anxiety. Pain may be gerd with esophageal spasm. The most common cause of non-cardiac chest pain is gastroesophageal reflux. Try a dose of liquid or chewable antacid. See physician in follow up to check bp. If pain persists go to er.

Get tested. : The tests to accurately diagnose reflux include an egd (upper endoscopy), a 24hr ph study, and an esophageal manometry. These will accurately diagnose gerd while ruling out problems that mimick reflux.
