Experiencing sharp pain in back and chest, with congested feeling on chest and my voice comes and goes. can this be related to reflux and if yes what can i do get the problem fixed. how do i find out if it isn't gerd?

Doctor can evaluate: Chest congestion and chest pain with back pain can be due to minor problems or to very serious ones. A doctor or the ER can evaluate. Sometimes blood tests, chest x-rays, and even an EKG will be done. Possible causes include a partial pneumothorax (collapsed lung), pneumonia, asthma, stomach reflux, heart problems, etc... If not heart or lung pain, further testing might confirm GERD.
