Where are you: Carrying it? In your nose? If the doctor wanted you to get rid of it they could try putting Mupirocin ointment in your nose if that is where it is.

Not really...: There really are no great treatments to eradicate MRSA colonization. Some doctors will prescribe Mupirocin nasal (mrsa livesbehind the nasal passages) and a medication called rifampin. Truth is this doesn't work well and exposes you to risks of medications and antibiotic resistance. Really, we're covered with bacteria and MRSA is nothing for you to worry about unless you have an active infection!
