Multiple: You describe multiple problems that may or may not be associated. Purple patches at base of tongue may be your sublingual veins (normal). Swollen lymph nodes and sore neck may be due to chronic infection (teeth, gums, bone, sinuses, etc.) have an examination at your dentist, and ask your physician to refer you to an ear/nose/throat specialist.
