A member asked:

My lower blood pressure is always low: 5 .iam 22 years old. what can i do and is it risky to me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diastolic BP: I am assuming that your "lower blood pressure" is your diastolic (d) one. If your BP was 120/80, your diastolic one would be "80". Most physicians (p) do not look at the d BP as being important any more. It is the top number, or the systolic BP that physicians consider important. In the absence of any symptoms, you have nothing to worry about. Speak to your p about your concerns.
