ALS: One sided weakness for one yr needs to be evaluated by a neurologist. Combination of exam by a neurologist and tests like EMG and MRI can help to figure out the cause for the weakness.

It sounds: Like your anxiety is getting the best of you. There is a normal exam, you are young and probably right handed, still without motor deficits. This has been extrapolated into death by als. It's not, but talk to psychiatrist, make sure you are sleeping ok. Good luck.

Not ALS: You do NOT have ALS, and the normal exam should be reassuring. If this indeed continues to bother you, see a neurologist at a nearby medical school, and get a second opinion.
