Viral gastroenteriti: Most likely explanation given your age, constellation of symptoms and course of improvement is acute viral gastroenteritis. Food poisoning is another possibility. Newly acquired h pylori infection of stomach could present this way. Expect recovery but if symptoms persist or worsen see a physician for evaluation.
