Exam: Nasal drainage that is purulent (thick, yellow or green), facial pain and frontal headaches, congestion are symptoms and signs. Tenderness to percussion (tapping) over the involved sinuses, decrease transillumination (ability to shine light through sinus bones), red swollen mucosa (lining) inside nose are signs on exam. Definitive diagnosis is ct scan. Saline washes natural remedy. Antibiotics rx.
