1 month 4 Survival: I ask patients to not sleep on their back at least one month after the procedure. Some changes in sitting are also recommended.

Recovery: The recovery time from a brazilian butt lift varies depending on the extent and number of areas where you had liposuction, but most patients can return to work in about 2 weeks. Most likely, you will wear a compression garment for support and to control swelling during the initial weeks after surgery. You will also have to avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for a number of days after surgery.

2 to 3 weeks: You will experience bruising and swelling after a buttock augmentation procedure. Ice packs are helpful to reduce swelling and discomfort. Much of the bruising and swelling will be reduced within 2 to 3 weeks. More strenuous activities like exercise can be resumed in 3-6 weeks after surgery or when your surgeon advises.

4 - 6 Weeks: There may be a small amount of swelling for up to 6 weeks, but you should be able to resume all normal activities after 4 weeks. No sitting directly on your buttocks for the first 3 weeks and a compression garment for the first 2 weeks. All dependent on your surgical case specifics, of course. Best wishes!
