Thanks for asking!: Increased basophil count is associated with many pathologic conditions, including: allergic reactions (drug, food), inflammation (ulcerative colitis, arthritis), endocrinopathy (diabetes, hypothyroidism), infection (chicken pox, small pox, tb, influenza), iron deficiency anemia, radiation exposure, myeloproliferative disorders, basophilic leukemia...Etc.
