Need further history: Depending on duration it can be an acute viral/bact cause with possibilities of lactose intolerance, gluten sensitivity, pancreatic dis, drug S/E (e.g, metformin) or an immune reaction related to some comorbid systemic illness. Further w/u like detailed history, basic Blood work should be done, Specialized test like imaging, GI consult/ scope is needed if fever/wt loss or family history warrants.
