Need medication: Tsh : stands for thyroid stimulating hormone. It is made in your brain to help stimulate the thyroid gland in your neck to produce thyroid hormone. If your TSH is 8.2, it is elevated in an attempt to help your body make more from the gland in your neck. You would need thyroid hormone replacement medication to help reduce the TSH number.
