Ecotrin (aspirin): Is enteric coated aspirin. Aspirin is a platelet inhibitor. The enteric coating is to protect the stomach from irritation by the aspirin.

Mildly : Ecotrin is Aspirin with an enteric (stomach) coating. Aspirin inhibits platelets which are necessary to initiate clotting. People on Aspirin take longer to form a blood clot than people who don't take aspirin.
