Lack of fluids: Saliva gets thick because of dehydration, you should get more fluids. Pain is not associate with running, check with your dentist if you have a problem.

Check meds: Some medication will affect your saliva output. Review your medication list if any with your physician. Do you teeth only hurt when you are running or other occasion as well?

Cold outside: Teeth will hurt if weather very cold (like York Pa) especially front teeth. Saliva will get thick because it dries out as your breathe harder.
