Be careful: If you're on coumadin, (warfarin) the slightest of trauma (anywhere) can bleed profusely. Lots of lubricant and play the passive role and be extremely gentle... A pe can happen abruptly.

Yes: In general, DVT is not a specific contraindication to sexual activity. Anticoagulants may increase the risk of bleeding with minor trauma.

Sex and DVT.: DVT can occur in many different types of veins. When it occurs in larger veins such as the iliac, femoral or popliteal then it is more serious then when it occurs in the below calf veins. I feel that it would be safe to have sex once you are fully anti coagulated. Having said that, before having sex you should also be feeling better and not hurting or in the acute phase. Speak with your MD.
