Alcohol : Causes swelling because it is a vasodialator and gravity pulls it down. Vasodialator is opening of vessel.

Alcohol: Causes dehydration, and with that comes electrolyte imbalances that can cause water retention. Also, chronic alcohol use affects the liver, and liver disease is a common cause for swelling.
