Is an electric toothbrush enough for plaque or do i need a waterpik too ?

TEnter an answer sum: The toothbrush only gets the outside surfaces. You need to clean between your teeth where most tooth decay and gum disease start a water-pik alone wont help as much. Use dental floss or a small brush that fits between your teeth commonly known as an interproximal brush.

Floss: Flossing may be the best, but if you are not going to do that, then a waterpik is a good choice.

Two essentials: In order to clean your teeth completely you must use two things. One- a toothbrush ; two-dental floss. Although i personally find an electric tooth brush works better for me, it is not essential. Nothing replaces the proper use of dental floss for cleaning in-between your teeth although there are some close alternatives for special situations. A waterpik does not remove plaque! (only food debris).
