Can screws cause stress risers in bone?

Unlikely: Haven't seen a single screw create a problem of a stress riser. More common is the stress riser created from removal of a screw and the remaining defect in the bone before it fills in with new bone.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
