Can an inguinal hernia surgery trauma cause fibromyalgia?

No: No, fibrmylagia is a more systemic disorder, not from a localized trauma following inguinal hernia surgery.

Unlikely: Fibromyalgia is a relatively poorly understood disease, but is not thought to be caused by inguinal hernia repair. Any surgical procedure however is likely to be more painful and have a longer recovery in patients with fibromyalgia compared to those without. Hope this helps!
