Is Claritin comparable to benadryl (diphenhydramine)?

Both AH: Both act in similar fashion except that Benadryl (diphenhydramine) causes drowsiness and dry mouth in a much higher percentage of people and it works for just a few hours vs claritin's nearly 24 hours duration of action.

Claritin may also be a little weaker antihistamine, in my opinion.

Benedryl: I do not like both - you can use bromelain instead helps with allergy and heals. If you are particular benedryl atleast child can rest.
