What is the cause of ph8 on uraine?

alkaline diet: The normal urine ph is on the acid side (less that 7, 0) but urine may be alkaline if there is a diet producing alkaline chemistry, and may be alkaline after a meal and sometimes will reflect a urinary tract infection. Alkaline urine is commonly a suspension and looks a little cloudy. Not a problem at all unless it is present day after day most of the time.
