Don't really know: The actual cause of adhd is really unknown. Spect scans have been able to show abnormalities in the frontal lobe of those with adhd, but this doesn't explain cause. It is believed to be a chemical, rather than purely a behavioral disorder. Theories on cause are endless from diet, genetics, vitamin deficiency, toxin exposure, fetus development, etc.

Multiple causes: Adhd attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is often caused or worsened by fluctuating blood sugars as a result of sweet drinks. Reactive hypoglycemia leads to inability to concentrate as the brain is temporarily starved for glucose. Then the low sugar levels stimulate the release of adrenaline leading to the hyperactivity. There are other contibuting factors as well, mineral deficiency, hormo.
