Getting off oxycodon: It is usually a good idea to start a pain killer and gradually increase it while gradually lowering the dose of the other. It is best done under the direction of a physician to avoid any unwanted side effects. You need to know what dose of Ibuprofen to take. If you are not on a higher dose of oxycodone, it does not need to be substituted. Also remember that they both work differently.
