Do not assume: Any new symptom that is not typical for you should be discussed with your physician. Since fibromyalgia shares many common symptoms with other medical conditions, you can not assume that a new symptom is caused by fms.

With caution: This is a big problem with fms. There are so many other systemic symptoms that occur with fms. Monitor new symptoms and if they progress or worsen then discuss with your pcp.

No: Person asks if "new symptoms" occur which are already on list of fibromyalgia symptoms then can they be "ignored". No, because fibromyalgia symptoms are mostly non-specific, and a new symptom might be caused by a disorder exclusive of fibromyalgia. The doctor should be consulted about "new symptoms".
