See your doctor : While bloating can be a symptom of menses, symptoms usually resolve with onset of cycle or shortly thereafter. I would not worry if this is a one-time occurrence, but if it does not resolve, it may be best to see your doctor to rule out other problems.

Bloating: that comes and goes MAY be related to the food you eat. Please see your doc to make sure all is well medically and then consider taking a probiotic and keeping a journal of what you eat and your symptoms. A licensed nutritionist can be very helpful also. Peace and good health.

Pregnancy?: A "light period" may occur with pregnancy. Get a serum HCG test to make certain you are not pregnant, as cramping and abdominal pain, especially if pain is on only one side may indicate a tubal pregnancy, which needs immediate attention.
