Pimple: Whiteheads or cysts under the skin are often treated with extraction , a technique where a dermatologist makes a tiny nick in the skin with a small needle and presses out the sebum with an instrument (comedone extractor). If a cyst is present for a long time it may be surgically removed. See a dermatologist for treatment options based on the size and type of the cyst.
