Not directly: Pregnant mother can not pass h pylori to their fetuses. But they can give it to their babies shortly after birth. Hpylori has no negative effect on fetal development. However h pylori has been linked to hyperemesis gravida is nausea and vomiting so severe that it threaten the health of the mother and nutritional status of the fetus. It is reported to be more severe than the typical morning sickness.
