Aneurysm : Yes, one can suspect aneurysm from palpitation. However most people with pounding heart will not have aneurysm.

Not really: An aneurysm can be found as a pulsatile mass in the belly, but in the chest, cannot be felt at all. A pounding heartbeat can be high blood pressure, stress, or any number of other issues.
