Veins: Are usually soft and collapsible blood vessels. "bumps" in the veins, if hard means that there is a possibility of clotted blood in the vein. In an arm it can happen if blood was drawn for tests for which the vein had to be penetrated with a needle. This detail was not however mentioned. I believe weight lifters can show some bumpy changes but i would expect that to be bilateral.
