Maybe.: Depends on nature of surgery and size of the bruise (which is what the blue-purple color represents). Call your surgeon; he or she will be in a much better position to predict what will happen than any of us can, sight unseen.

May: Depending on the type of injury it is probably a good idea to have this evaluated by a specialist, especially is this is the result of a crushing injury, to ensure that there are no other concomitant issues such as a fracture.
