Lots of things: How anemic are you? It might take a while for your body to recover. Especially if you are chronically anemic from heavy periods. Screen for hypo thyroidism by checking a tsh. Hows your sleep, do you get 8 good hours a night? Having good sleep hygiene to rest goes a long ways toward good health. You may be in a cycle of using caffiene to be awake then not being able to sleep from the caffein.

Sleepiness : There many other reasons . Anemia is definitely one of them. Some other causes are sleep apnea , thyroid disorders. Could be very likely from anemia in you because you currently have anemia.

Anemia: When a patient is "told" simple answers to their symptoms and easy solutions don't seem to be the answer, then additional "differential" diagnosis should be considered . Everything from complex medical conditions to something as "simple" as depression can cause "tiredness". I would recommend a more comprehensive evaluation by a trusted physician.
