Not really: Meningitis is hallmarked by a stiff neck, associated with headache, vomiting, fever and photophobia (sensitivity to light). I doubt you would have all these with even the worst case of sinusitis (specially not stiff neck). But, sinusitis can potentially cause meningitis, so there is a connection that way. If your symptoms are severe check with your doctor. Don't take any chances.

Very much so. : The pain and fever of sinus infection may be associated with a number of similar symptoms to meningitis (an migraine as well). Generally, a clinician can distinguish between the two during an examination. Moreover, the patient with meningitis will typically appear more ill, often be non-ambulatory.
