Possible: Not really a side effect but if the dose of levothyroxine is too high, it may lead to high blood pressure and high pulse rate. Blood test could evaluate this.

If take too much: Synthroid (thyroxine) can cause high blood pressure if you're taking too much of it and your blood test now show hyperthyroidism. The drug at appropriate dose does not raise blood pressure.
