Laceration: If the wound is tender it needs to be examined for an infection. Don't dye your hair now, it will add insult to injury, get it checked first.

Depends on suture: Material which can dissolve at different rates. See your doctor to make sure there is nothing else going on (infection wound dehiscence granulation) and get clearance from the doctor for using hair dye.
