Intuniv: Intuniv or Guanfacine is long acting alpha-2 agonist, used alone or in conjunction with stimulant med (e.G adderall) to treat adhd.10+% people get side effect of dose related sleepiness. So, better to start with low dose of 1-2 mg daily; maximum dose 4 mg. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) increases blood pressure, Intuniv lowers, so, a good combination. I usually give stimulant in a.M and Intuniv in the afternoon.
