Take a test: Yes you can have bleeding in early pregnancy. You need to take a test. If the test is positive, then call your doctor to be evaluated.

Implantation bleedin: Is usually around the time of the missed period and is usually light bleeding or spotting. If it is heavier and has clots it is more likely to be a period. If the period is shorter than usual it is possibly early pregnancy with implantation bleeding or it is an unusual period. Check a pregnancy test to tell.

Wait and see : It is not uncommon for someone to have an irregular period occasionally. This usually self corrects over the next few cycles. If you continue to be irregular or continue to have excessive bleeding schedule a visit with an obgyn to discuss options for cycle control. Lots of birth control options can regulate your cycle.

An early period?: An early menstrual period may be from changes in hormone levels, which can be due to anxiety, stress, overworking, intense exercise, fatigue, or excessive weight gain or loss. If pregnant, a bit of spotting 9-14 days after conception may happen. Can check a preg. Test, or just wait for next month's period to confirm non-pregnancy. An ob-gyn doctor can check, if symptoms are worrisome or recurrent.

Hard to guess: Many women have occasional variation of their mucus discharge, some spotting between periods, a heavier or lighter period, a longer or shorter period, an earlier or later period, or even a missed period. Having one or two of these symptoms, once in a while, doesn’t necessarily mean there is a medical problem. If worried about pregnancy, a home urine test is very accurate 3 weeks after sex.
