I would think you: Lift your arm but lifting heavy object is not a good idea . Talk to your cardiac surgeon , he will give you the right recommendation.

Check with surgeon: Typically by 12 weeks after open chest surgery, one would be released to normal activity, but you should check with your surgeon for your individual situation.
