Yes: And despite the appearance at 9 days, it should heal completely where you will never be able to tell that anything was even done back there. Softer, non-abrasive foods and salt water rinses. I give my patients a hydrocolloid gel which promotes healing and soothes the areas and I have received terrific feedback about it.

Yes: But have your dentist to evaluate the healing of the area. Follow-up is very important. Sometimes it does not heal properly.
