Sounds good: Did not see all of your question, but all sounds good. As this heals, it will get smaller and change color. Concern only if pain develops or hole remains. Good Luck.

Normal: However if you are concerned, ask the person that knows your circumstances best, the Dentist or Oral Surgeon that did the extraction. Also seek information about replacing the tooth before "posterior bite collapse" occurs.
