Smaller doses, D3: Vitamin d, in usual doses, should not cause much by way of muscle pain unless you have an underlying metabolic disease. Sometimes it is better tolerated when taken daily and somewhat smaller doses, rather than once a week in 50, 000 units. Naturally derived forms of vitamin d3 can also cause less distress.

Vitamin D2 /vitaD3: There are different sensitivities to d3 versus d 2. And they come in different strengths. Try some variations.

Vitamin D3: D3 is the animal form of d and d2 is the patented form sold in most multivitamins but less well absorbed ironically.

Vitamin D3: That you buy in the store is well tolerated. The gelcaps are usually a well tolerated form.
