A member asked:

Would crying excessively cause a breakdown?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Crying is a symptom.: Crying excessively won't cause a 'nervous breakdown', but it could be a symptom of a 'nervous breakdown'. If there is no underlying reason (i.e., loss of a loved one) for the crying, it's best to see your doctor.
