As often as primary: Primary infertility is the inability to ever conceive while secondary infertility is the inability of a couple to conceive after having a biologic child. Secondary infertility is very common. It is reported to be as common as primary infertility however the exact rate is truly unknown because a lot of couples with secondary infertility do not seek help.

Possibly more often: Many experts believe it's more common to suffer from secondary infertility than primary infertility. This is due to such factors as an older age (in the woman) and exposure to reproductive toxins over time. Other possible issues include progressive endometriosis, infectious diseases, and the ravages a varicocele can induce as time passes.
