Safe as you make it: To be safe from exacerbations of celiac disease you must learn to read labels. Not all foods are labeled as gluten-free. You must be able to detect gluten-containing substances on ingredient lists. For example white flour is a form or wheat flour. Meet with a nutritionist to learn how best to do this. Go to the store with a partner & read labels together for practice.

It is usually found in small print as the last part of content listing.Many companies list contents of various foods on the net, so you can explore items you might want to buy before you shop.Be aware that CD patients can have cross sensitivities to food dyes like #40 red and others.
