Mostly cast: It depends on which bone is broken and if there is any displacement or shift of the fracture or angular ion at the fracture site. Casting is the most common method of fracture treatment, but splint or brace might also be used. Buddy taping to the adjacent finger is also possible for partially healed minor finger fractures.

Agreed: These are all perfect examples of treatment of hand fractures (cast, splint, buddy tape). Be sure to see an orthopedist or pediatric ortho specialist.

Diagnosis is the: Most important as the location, severity, age, angulation, skeletal maturity, and other injury patterns are the most important. Typically immobilization kids leans toward more is better. Kids heal fast and often stiffness is not an issue but proper positioning and determination of when it is safe to go forward are essential. Thus childrens fractures:best treated by an experienced person. Above all.
