Thrush: Metronidazole treats bacteria and not yeast. There is diflucan, (fluconazole) keotoconazole and Nystatin all of which treat yeast. See your doctor for a prescription.

Hi, I have been experiencing an itch down there ever since i have had sex 6 months ago. The itch tends to come and go. I have no other symptoms. I have tried otc meds for thrush and have also been on metronidazole but it didn't help. ?
