Sedation may occur.: A small study “Evaluation of the abuse potential of methocarbamol” (Preston KL, Guarino JJ, Kirk WT, Griffiths RR.) showed “liking” effects by some participants but dysphoria at higher doses. Methocarbamol was found to have less abuse potential than lorazepam in that study.
