Don't take it: It is ground up cow/pig thyroid tissue. Does it contain thyroid hormone? Yes. How much? Depends on what the cows/pigs were up to. Is it regulated for purity/composition? Hard to know (it is not regulated like a drug). People who take this stuff often become hyperthyroid without realizing it. Take prescription levothyroxine under a doctor's care.
