No, unless breathing: Is a problem. Many septums are deviated during development, and more are deviated by injury. Function (breathing) is the issue to be concerned about, not that the septum has some waviness. Of course, the more severe the deviation, the more likely the airways are compromised and breathing issues may be noted for which septal surgery may be advised. See ENT or plastic surgeon if questions!

Deviated Septum: Correction of a deviated septum is only needed to correct breathing problems. Usually there will be minimal to no cosmetic deformity caused by a deviated septum alone.

Deviated septum: A deviated septum is not an uncommon problem. It can lead to nasal obstruction, snoring and even sinus issues. You only need surgery if you are having symptoms. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.

No: A deviated septum only needs to be fixed if it is causing significant symptoms, typically nasal obstruction. Obviously, the term "signficant symptoms" is very subjective.
