Maybe: These are one of a great many popular foods that contain a lot of oxalate which is a component of many kidney stones. I've looked at the evidence and i think that warning people about oxalate in the diet is mostly protecting onesself from liability. Drinking plenty of water would probably go a lot farther to preventing kidney stones than radically restricting your diet / making a fetish.
