Yes: Bactroban (mupirocin) is a topical medication for treating skin infections. If you have an allergy to sulfa antibiotics, you should not have a problem with bactroban (mupirocin) which is not absorbed into your system and should not cause an allergic reaction in those with a sulfa antibiotic (which is absorbed).

Yes: Mupirocin is unlike drugs that cause the sulfa allergy, so a sulfa allergy would not prevent a person from using mupirocin.
